Live Sound & Recording - July 10 & 11
Expand yourself in the fundamentals of professional audio production for live events - the science of sound, microphone selection and placement, mixing console operation, PA system design, monitor mixing, EQ and dynamics processing, feedback control, system tuning, troubleshooting techniques, and live mixing strategies. Participants will gain the knowledge and confidence needed to set up, operate, and manage sound systems for concerts, festivals, corporate events, and other live productions.
Lighting & Stage Design - JULY 17 & 18
Learn the fundamentals of lighting design, fixture types, color theory, DMX control, programming techniques, electrical safety, and truss rigging to create dynamic lighting looks for concerts, DJs, live events, theater productions, and multimedia experiences. The workshop emphasizes both creative and technical skills, allowing participants to design, program, and operate a complete lighting system while learning industry best practices from setup through show execution.
Podcast Production - AUg. 21 & 22
Step into the process of planning and launching a successful podcast, from developing your concept to preparing episodes for launch. You will learn about microphones, audio interfaces, mixers, headphones, recording equipment, and studio setup to achieve high-quality sound. The workshop also covers recording software, audio editing techniques, and publishing and sharing podcasts to your audience.
Multicam Live Stream - AUG. 28 & 29
Explore the fun of live-streaming, the essential equipment, camera and video setup, audio fundamentals, and effective lighting techniques. Learn how to select and configure streaming software, optimize internet and technical settings, create a professional-quality production environment, snd the live show platforms and best practices for delivering engaging broadcasts. Attendees will discover strategies for recording, editing, and repurposing content to maximize reach and extend the value of their live streams.

Do I need prior experience?
No. You can join with zero experience for any of the workshops. We start with the basics, explain terms as we go, and give you clear steps so you can follow along and make progress fast.
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is ideal for musicians, DJs, event producers, volunteers, venue staff, students, and anyone interested in learning how to become a professional in sound system operations, lighting equipment, podcasts, or video streaming.
Is it hands-on?
Yes. These workshops vastly hands-on with lecture and equipment exploration interweaved. We will switch between lecture and guided practice with constructive feedback so you learn by doing. Practical demonstrations and opportunities to work directly with lighting fixtures, audio equipment, controllers, and production equipment (hands-on activities vary by wha workshop you attend).
What should I bring?
Bring your headphones, laptop, laptop charger, a notebook, and pen. No additional software is needed - equipment you will be trained on will be available for use at the workshop.
