In celebration of Slam Academy’s first book release, Music Theory for Electronic Music Producers (written by Slam Academy founder J. Anthony Allen), we will be offering all of our “interactive” online classes for free during the week of May 21 – 25. This includes our Ableton Live Online Program, Sound Design Online Program, and our Music Theory Online Program. Register here to get access to all courses & content (access available May 21-25), and an exclusive preview of the book.

The Music Theory Online Program is taught by J. Anthony Allen who literally wrote the book on teaching DJs how to use notes, chords, and other music theory concepts with little or no music training. According to the author, “How music theory is usually taught is unfair. It starts with the assumption that you can read music and understand the language of classical music. My book leaves all of that behind – focusing only on the MIDI grid that producers are already familiar with to learn all the concepts of music theory.”

During the Free Online Week, you can interact directly with the author, as well as other Slam Academy instructors. This is a great chance to get feedback on a project you’ve been working on, get some new ideas, or just listen in.

Register below to get full access to the Free Online Week.
The interactive session and course access will go live on May 21.

The book can be purchased on Amazon
